Our Dining Room is just off our kitchen, with an open floor plan. In this home in Vancouver, Washington, we do not have a formal dining room as we have always been accustomed to. The builders here are doing away with them but I truly miss it. However, I love the open floor plan and the flow for entertaining and for spending our evenings together as a family. A formal post to come on this and a tutorial on my dining table (per request) very soon.
Until I have a blog post, here is some info:
I found the table and chairs years ago when we lived in Waco, TX on Craigslist. I refinished the top (tutorial coming soon) and painted the rest of the table and chairs “Woodrow Wilson Presidential White” in a satin finish. This color is by Valspar and found at Lowe’s. I used a satin-thread ivory home fabric for the seats.
Here are similar pieces below. I’m using affiliate links for your shopping convenience.
On the opposite end of the window and dining table, I have a buffet and mirror, which I will reveal soon. Here is the chandelier that I hung above our table below, along with a couple of less expensive options.
